Occupational Accident Insurance built for healthcare workers

Safe as you can be

We know you're already serious about on-the-job safety. That's why you wear proper protective gear, wash your hands (a lot!) and are extra careful when using sharps to minimize your risks at work.  But accidents still can happen.

Needlesticks, sharps injuries and workplace assaults are some of the biggest occupational hazards that healthcare workers and students face every day.

Mind the (insurance) gap

Accidental infections can be serious and costly.  Unfortunately, workers' comp, disability and health insurance plans may not be much help when you really need it most.

Keep your hard-earned savings for the stuff you love

With Vigilance, there's a better way to prepare for the unexpected.  Vigilance pays a lump sum benefit that may help to fill gaps in coverage and supplement workers' comp and/or health insurance plans after a covered sharps injury or workplace assault.

Added protection when you need it most

You're there when your patients need you and we think insurance should be no different.  With Vigilance, you're covered if things go awry.  Here's how it works.

Infected Needlestick Benefit

We may pay a benefit if you experience a needlestick as the result of an occupational accident and it can be verified that the patient or source of the exposure was infected with Hep B, Hep C or HIV at the time of the Needlestick Exposure.

Occupational HIV, Hepatitis B, and Hepatitis C Benefits

You may receive a lump sum benefit if you test positive for Hep B, Hep C or HIV within 180 days of a covered sharps injury, blood or bodily fluid exposure incident and are subsequently diagnosed with one of those infections.

Felonious Assault Benefit

You may get up to $300/day for up to 10 days if you're the victim of a covered felonious assault and need to be admitted to the hospital as an inpatient.
